If you’re a vegetarian then your blood is 8 times more effective in killing cancer cells







There is a huge drive towards becoming a vegetarian or a vegan. Of course, there is also a huge drive towards eating more meat because there is so much money in the meat industry. But new studies are showing how much healthier the blood of vegetarians or vegans is, and this may well be the turning point for many people towards giving up meat.

The rates of people developing cancer in their lifetime are high. One out of every two men and one out of every three women in the USA will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This does not mean they will die, but they will get ill and need treatment. And many of these sufferers will die.

There is hope though. There are new medical advancements and technology all the time. And we also know how important diet is, and following a healthy diet filled with all the right nutrients, minerals, vitamins and proteins. A series of experiments undertaken by Collective Evolution has now shown that blood taken from vegans is on average 8 TIMES more effective at killing cancer cells, compared to the blood of meat eaters.

The studies were done in 2005 and there is still clearly a lot of work to be done. But it is clear that a diet free of red meats is a much healthier diet. And it is clear that a diet free of carcinogens means a healthier blood.

The one thing to bear in mind is that most vegans and vegetarians also lead a healthy lifestyle when it comes to exercise and stress management. Most non-meat eaters spend time outdoors, do yoga or pilates or belong to a gym, eat well and sleep well. The healthy blood could be attributed to lifestyle and diet, or lifestyle only, or diet only, but we think the three go together.
