Man forgets where he parks his car - then finds it 20 years later

Way back year 1997, a man went to the police station in the city of Frankfurt in Germany and reported that his car was stolen.

As it happens, after twenty years of thinking that car was lost forever, the city authorities finally found the lost car in an industrial building that is quite old already and is scheduled to be demolished. The car was hindering the demolition and so the police were called to help in tracking the owner of the car.

It was reported that the man actually forgot where he parked his car and was under the impression that someone stole his car.

As for the Augsberger Allgemein, a German regional paper, the car owner who is now 76 years old was taken to the site with his daughter by the police. The man who was separated from his car for two decades finally became reunited with his lost car.

But the car can no longer be used and is not functional anymore and will be forwarded for scrapping.

This event is compared to the same incident that happened in Munich, Germany, where a man went on drinking the night away and forgot where he parked his car. The car was reported missing and two years later the police found the lost car just 4km from the location where the man thought he left the car before drinking.

The lost car actually had cash in the car amounting to 40,000 euros, and tools amounting to 50,000.

Just this year, another man who is from Scotland searched for his lost car for five days to no avail. He attended the Stoneroses gig in Manchester and reported his car stolen after he finally gave up searching for it, and offered a bid.
