Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says humans must become cyborgs to avoid invasion from AI

"Over time I think we will probably see a closer merger of biological intelligence and digital intelligence. It's mostly about the bandwidth, the speed of the connection between your brain and the digital version of yourself, particularly output," Musk said at the World Government Summit in Dubai

Elon Musk addressed his concern that the sooner AI becomes mainstream, humans will lose their place at work.

Musk also argued that the domination of AI would mean massive unemployment.

"Some high bandwidth interface to the brain will be something that helps achieve a symbiosis between human and machine intelligence and maybe solves the control problem and the usefulness problem," Musk explained.

 "Autonomous cars will make the biggest impact in the coming years. People who work as drivers will gradually lose their job," Musk further added.
