Silicon Valley Tech Workers Are Microdosing LSD At Work To Dramatically Boost Productivity

The new word in town regarding drug use is ‘micro-dosing’ and it’s become pretty common, especially amongst highly stressed tech workers in Silicon Valley, to microdose LSD. If your eyes are wide open and a little bit shocked, they should be.

LSD is a controversial drug and not a drug that can just be ‘bought over the counter.’ Micro-dosing is when people take teeny doses of a drug - LSD or psilocybin mushrooms - for an instant boost of productivity and a sense of capability and high achievement.

Micro-dosing means you do not get the whole tripping effect of the drug and you don’t have hallucinations and see amazing colors and senses and smells, Instead, you have heightened productivity and clarify to thought, meaning you can problem solve, come up with new and innovate ideas and stay awake for a long time.

Is any of this a good thing or is it just an altered sense of reality and ‘another excuse for taking a drug?’ Remember the damage cocaine did in the advertising world where so many executives took cocaine to ‘come up with brilliant ideas.’ Many of these people’s lives became totally messed up, and they lost everything, not just financially but family too.

Micro-dosing LSD may well help people work through problems but it may also be hugely addictive and dangerous. Paulo Torres is a young, creative entrepreneur, an artist and producer in LA, USA. He micro dosed for five years, starting at a point when his life had felt worthless. He landed up growing his own mushrooms and took his ‘forays into the drug world’ very seriously .

He sees himself as somewhat of a healer and a medicine man, and says micro dosing does increase awareness and creativity. He does however also say that, like cocaine can destroy, so can any drug addiction, even in small quantities.
