Morgan Freeman On Marijuana: “I’ll Eat It, Drink It, Smoke It, Snort It!”

Oscar-winning legend Morgan Freeman has always been looked up upon by fellow actors and audience for his world-class acting in many famous movies. 

However, it was a shock when Freeman finally opened up about his longtime marijuana use and how he believed that cannabis should be legalized everywhere. This happened in the year 2015 while he was interviewed for his new film ‘5 Flights Up’, where he openly wanted to talk about his use of marijuana.

It all started eight years ago when the actor got involved in a car accident in his 1997 Nissan Maxima. After hours of operation to repair and restore the nerves on his shattered elbow, arm and left shoulder, the pain did not go away and he wasn’t able to regain the use of his left hand. In order to deal with the excruciating pain, Freeman turned to cannabis.

The actor stated that alcohol does not have medical use, but marijuana does. It helps him ease the pain from his accident, and it has been known to help kids as well with grand mal seizures to have an actual life.

Freeman mentioned marijuana last time in the year 2003 where he stated never to give up on the ganja in his interview with The Guardian. And he showed the same attitude towards marijuana in the The Daily Beast interview.

According to the legendary 79 years old actor, marijuana does not have a side effect. It helps people cope with physical pain that no scientific medicine can offer.


There was an event in Woodstock 1969 where people were using marijuana and there was no problem or fight, but in ’99 where fewer people are using cannabis, many riots and arrests happened.
