It is more relaxing now to be with nature because SmithFly, a company in Ohio invented a floating tent on the water where visitors can sleep in.

The world’s first floating tent is called The Shoal Tent. When measured from the outside, the tent stands eight feet by eight feet. That makes a person to stand and lie down comfortably inside the tent, even with a height of 6’3” tall.

The $1,499 floating tent weighs 75 pounds, and it folds and fits inside a 60x24x18 inches storage bag with a burrito form. It also includes a manual foot pump and patch kit.

An inflatable raft is what is used to form the base of the floating tent. The base is covered with a tent topper. It is reported that the whole tent is actually inflatable, and there is no need to use a pole. The best thing is, the floating tent can survive even a high wind.

The tent is definitely waterproof, and it has an air mattress in a form of “six-inch thick drop stitched”. The floating tent looks fascinating to use day or night. The floor can be inflated up to 10 pounds per square inch, and the tubes can be inflated up to three pounds per square inch.

The creator of the floating tent SmithFly stated that the tent can work on a farm pond, spring creek, saltwater flat, or even in the river. The camping floating tent has always been a dream to have for many people who love camping.

SmithFly pioneered in 2010, was built and designed by a fly fisherman named Ethan Smith. Smith wants to make sure that the environment is not harmed in any way with the multigenerational product he created.
