Hating summers will not be an option for you anymore. These colourful, yet sterile pictures by Maria Svarbova makes you fall in love with the season. He photographs focus mainly on pools that were built during the Socialist Era of Slovakia, which is her native country and they have a cool sense of detachment.

But Svarbova’s love for photography is mostly recent, which is pretty odd. In high school she had experimented with arts and wanted to become a painter but later pursued archaeology. She did photography on the side to relieve herself from the routines of a tough school.

She claims to be completely self made. She asked technical questions and listened to the photographers. Ut other than that she took photos and worked on them. She says that she enjoys clicking photographs and playing with them on the editor.
